Hello, I’m Deborah.

I’m a mental health counsellor and psychotherapist based in Singapore.

I specialise in childhood trauma and helping clients recover from abusive romantic and familial relationships.

Using evidence-based modalities such as schema therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), I’ll help you find the language to describe what you’ve been through and process your experiences.

And with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I’ll help you figure out ways to find healing and contentment and to lead a flourishing life that’s true to your personal values.

I also work with couples to repair and strengthen relationships.

Sometimes we don’t realise it, but growing up in high-conflict families, witnessing unhealthy relationship patterns, and having negative experiences with previous romantic partners can deeply impact our current relationships.

In Gottman Method couples counselling, you’ll learn skills to understand your partner better, communicate and manage conflicts more effectively, and make each other’s life dreams come true.

My practice is trauma-informed, non-judgemental, and LGBTQ+ affirming.

You can choose to attend in person or online.

Who is therapy for?

For couples:

Perhaps you’re here due to infidelity in your relationship. Maybe you’ve been having frequent arguments with your partner, or just want a “relationship check-up” before you’re ready to take a big step.

For individuals:

Did you have a difficult childhood? Do you find it hard to make and maintain friendships and relationships? Maybe you’re feeling stuck, confused, and trying to figure out what you want in life.

We all need a helping hand from time to time. Reaching out is a way of acknowledging and honouring your struggles. Let me journey with you towards greater self-understanding and self-compassion.

I saw three ships go sailing by,
Over the sea, the lifting sea,
And the wind rose in the morning sky,
And one was rigged for a long journey.
